At Freeman Notary Public, the services we offer include:

  • Notarial Certification-   If you require that facts of a Document are attested to, we are able to complete all the required steps in order to notarise the Document in question in order for you, the Client, to obtain the Notarial Certification. Documents which are to be used overseas often need to be notarised, and each country has different requirements on how the document should be prepared, Our experienced Notaries will best advise you on all the formalities before completing the Notarial Certification.
  • Legalisation/Apostilles- An increasing number of  Countries require that once a document has been notarised , the document in question must undergo certain formalities, such as Consular Legislation or Certification by apostilles in order to be accepted as a Legal document in the Country of Question. If you require this service, we can undertake it for you and make sure that all the formalities are properly observed.
  • Affidavits & Declarations- An affidavit is a written sworn statement of fact voluntarily made by an affiant or deponent under an oath or affirmation administered by a person authorized to do so by law. Such statement is witnessed as to the authenticity of the affiant’s signature by a taker of oaths, such as a notary public or commissioner of oaths. If you require this service, our Notaries can advise you on the correct form of affidavit or statutory declaration as well as execute the Document in question for you.
  • Legal Translation- Freeman Notary public will undertake translation work into and out of the Arabic language. Our Notaries are fluent in that language and you can rest assured that the translation of legal documents will be that of the highest quality and accuracy.

Identification requirement

We are obliged by UK Law to request proper Identification from all of our Clients. Doing this enables us to upkeep our high levels of Honesty and Integrity as well as prevent Criminals from committing fraudulent acts by misusing the notarised documents

We therefore adhere to a strict Identification policy and do reserve the right to deny our services if these requirements are not complied with.

We currently accept the following types of Identification:

  • Current Passport.
  • Photo- card Driving Licence.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • For proof of address, a utility bill no older than 2 months.

If you cannot provide one of these documents, please consult one of our notaries and they will advise you on the best course of action.

 

Legalisation requirements for Certain Countries which we deal with regularly:

Sudan:

Notarised documents for use in Sudan require legalisation by the Sudanese Consulate, with a fee of £55 per document to be made payable.

In order for the document to be legalised it must first be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office where the fee of £75 per document is to be made payable.

Emirates:

Notarised Documents for use in the United Arab require legalisation by the Consular Section of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates.

The fees per document are as follows:

Certificate of Registration or Incorporation £410, Memorandum & Articles of Association £410, Certificate of Good Standing £400, Private/General Power of Attorney £30, All other documents £30, Urgent fee £30 per document.

The document must first be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office where the fee for certification is £75 per document is to be made payable.

Saudi Arabia

Notarised Documents for use in Saudi Arabia must  be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office by way of Apostille, a fee of £75 per document is to be made payable and documents will be processed the same day if lodged by 2.00p.m.

Two photocopies of each document are required and the name and address of the consignee or agent must appear on each document.

Morocco:

Documents for use in Morocco require legalisation by the Moroccan Consulate.

The fee is £15.00 – £20.00 per document. The Moroccan Consulate requires a copy of each document to be legalised.

The document to be legalised must first be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office where the fee for certification is £75 per document.
